About Emergency Funding

A calm plan first. Free help second. Funding for what's left.

Emergency Funding helps Australian businesses hit by a crisis — flood, bushfire, storm, fire, equipment breakdown, cyber attack, a collapsed customer or supplier, or a stalled insurance claim — with a clear action plan, the official disaster help worth checking first, and recovery funding for the gap.

Who we help

We work with Australian business owners on the worst weeks of their working lives: the café owner shovelling mud out of the shop, the contractor whose excavator has thrown a pump, the wholesaler whose biggest customer has just gone into liquidation, the practice locked out of its own files by ransomware. Sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies — across trades, retail, hospitality, transport, manufacturing, farming and professional services.

What they have in common is a sudden problem that the business didn't cause and can't simply trade its way out of this week.

Why we built this site the way we did

Most finance websites start with the loan. We think that's the wrong way round in a crisis. A business that's just been flooded or burnt out needs to hear, first, what to do in the next 24 hours, who to call, and what free help exists — grants, concessional loans, ATO deferrals, hardship arrangements, free counselling. Only then does it make sense to talk about funding, and only for the gap that's left.

So this site leads with our emergency action checklist, guides to specific crisis events and a plain-English disaster help section that points to official sources. We check the phone numbers and programs we mention against government and industry sites, and we'd genuinely rather you get a grant than a loan.

Our promises

  • No credit check when you first enquire. Telling us what happened doesn't touch your credit file. A credit check only comes up once you decide to proceed.
  • No spray-and-pray. Your details aren't sold, auctioned or blasted to a list of lenders. One team works on your situation.
  • A real person on your case. Someone reads your enquiry and calls you. If free help would do more for you than funding, we'll say so.
  • Straight answers on cost. We don't publish interest rates because every facility is priced on the business's own circumstances — but we'll explain the total cost clearly before you commit.

What we can help with

  • Property-secured business loans from $20,000 to $5,000,000 — first mortgages, second mortgages and caveat loans over residential or commercial property.
  • Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses, typically $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.
  • Bad credit and ATO debt considered case by case.
  • Speed where it matters: $20k to $250k possible same day (property-secured), up to $5m possible within 24–48 hours, and same-day funding possible for smaller unsecured amounts.
  • Business purposes only.

How we work

You tell us what happened in a short, 60-second enquiry. A real person calls, asks about insurance, grants and timing, and works out with you whether funding is the right tool and, if so, how much and for how long. We only ask for documents once you've decided to go ahead. Read more on how it works.

Please fill in the enquiry accurately — the amount, what it's for, your state and any property you own. It's the single biggest thing that helps us match you properly on the first call.
